Zing's Last Day!

Hey Pandas! Today is Zing's last day. Which means you only have a few hours to find golden tickets around Pandanda. Tickets will be scattered around Pandanda Land for you to find. I usually find alot of tickets around the Orchard, but there are many more areas that have them.

 

Right now I only have one ticket, but when you find 10 tickets around Pandanda Land, you'll be able to go to Zing and collect your umbrella hat or coins. Zing is located near the Treehouse Lobby on the right side.

Hello Friends!

That traveling panda, Zing Ballyhoo, has spring fever and will be leaving Pandanda today, continuing his search for cool and interesting prizes to give when he returns. I also heard a rumor that the Easter Bunny asked Zing for a little help in picking out some prizes for the Easter Egg Hunt that starts this week. Of course, Zing was more than happy to help!

You want to make sure that you have traded your 10 Golden Tickets to Zing before he leaves this evening. He has his bags packed and is ready to go, but you have until about 11:59 pm Pandanda Time today to get the prize. I wouldn't wait too late, though, because sometimes Zing slips away a little early!

Speaking of the Easter Bunny, he is busy coloring thousands of eggs in preparation for the annual Pandanda Egg Hunt! Starting on Friday, March 30th, you will be able to hunt for Easter Eggs all over Pandanda, then trade them to the Easter Bunny for his super prizes! I can't wait to see what he has for us this year!

Pandanda Zing Ballyhoo's 68th Mystery Item!

Hey Pandas!

Zing Ballyhoo has once again returned to Pandanda! Let's find out what amazing mystery item he brought for us this week! You can find Zing in the Treehouse Lobby on the map.

To check how many tickets you have so far, just click the golden ticket located in the upper right corner under the map button.

You have to collect 10 tickets in order to get a awesome prize or 500 coins from Zing Ballyhoo. You can find tickets anywhere except your treehouse. The tickets will appear randomly (just like cans, fruits, vegetables, gems, treasure chest etc.) Collecting the tickets may take a while. So you just have to wait a while.

Once you have collected 10 tickets, head over to the Treehouse Lobby and get you prize. When you click on Zing, you get choose either the awesome prize or 500 coins. Remember, you have the choice of either his prize or some coins, so choose carefully. You only get one choice each week!

This week the prize is a...Rainbow T-Shirt!

Hey Pandas!

Today's the day to prepare for Zing Ballyhoo's arrival on Monday by wearing your favorite hat! There have been lots of cool and crazy hats, and other stuff to wear on your head, given out as prizes and gifts in the years that Pandanda has been open. And even more hats have been available in the many different clothing catalogs that have been published.

So let's see every furry panda head covered with some kind of fabulous hat today. You might even want to see how many different hats you can wear while you play today. And if you wear a hat with a certain "character", why not try out your acting skills and become that character! Pirate, Roman soldier, jester, Uncle Sam, princess, knight, wizard, Santa Claus - there are so many possibilities!

You can even vote in the new poll to let us know how many hats you have in your Pandanda closet! The poll is only open for 24 hours, so get your vote in!

Just a reminder, the deadline for submitting your Spring Theme Player Card Background drawings is getting closer, but you still have until 11:59pm PST on Wednesday, March 14th to send your drawing in to us. You can read more about it in my Spring Theme Player Card Drawing Contest! post on March 1st, and in the Contest Update post on March 5th. Remember, you can include a suggestion for a simple animation for your background.

Happy March, Panda Pals!

Let's get this month off to a great start with the first contest of 2012 - a Spring Theme Player Card Drawing Contest!

This goal of this contest is to design and submit a drawing of a player card background using the template of a player card provided. We recommend you use this template, since it shows the placement of where the Panda image appears on top of the Player Card and how it will cover the design.

The theme of your background should be Springtime. If you like, you can suggest a simple animation for your background (for example, the falling snow on the village scene in last year's Winter Festival background.)

For hand-drawn entries, we suggest that you first print a copy of the template, and then create your drawing on that. Hand-drawn images will need to be scanned into your computer or turned into a digital picture using a digital camera so they can be emailed to us. If you use a camera to take a picture of your drawing, make sure it is well-lit and in focus. We want to be able to see your drawing at its best!

All entries must be emailed to us in the format of a digital image (in one of the following formats: jpg, gif, tiff, bmp, pdf, png). Entries that are not in one of those formats will be disqualified.

There is a limit of one entry per email address (the one you used when you created your panda) per day. Entries must be received at contest@pandanda.com no later than 11:59pm PST on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, March 21st in my Blog.

Prizes:

One Grand Prize will be awarded by our panel of judges.

The Grand Prize winner will have their design turned into an actual player card background by our graphic artists to be used in the game, and will also receive:

• a 6-month Elite Membership Gift Certificate
• 5000 Panda Power
• 200 Panda Gold

The really cool part is that the winning design will feature the winning Panda's name on the card - which could even make your Panda pretty famous - who knows? The winner's new Player Card Background will be available during the Easter Egg Hunt Festival that begins on March 30th.

To submit your entry (have your parent or guardian help you):

• Read and obey the rules. Entering the competition means that you and your parent/guardian agree to the rules. A complete list of the rules can be found here. If you are under 13 years old, please ask your parent or guardian to review them with you, along with our website Terms of Use, specifically with regard to the use of submissions you send to us.
• Ask your parent or guardian to email your entry to contest@pandanda.com from their email address, the one they used when they signed you up for Pandanda. Your entry MUST come from the email address that we have on file for your Pandanda account.You can see what that email address is by logging into your Account Management page.
• Type the words "Player Card Drawing Contest" in the subject line of the email.
• Type your Panda name in the text of the email for example "Panda Name: Paige."
• Do NOT include your real name, house address, phone number, or password.

Leap Day!

Hey pandas!

Today is leap day! Leap means to jump, but what does leap day really mean?

About every four years, we have a Leap Year, which is a year with one extra day in it. That day is added to the shortest month, making February have 29 days instead of 28. Poor February- even with an extra day, it is still the shortest month!

Today you can take one or two screenshots of your Pandanda friends jumping! You just hit on your keyboard the letter 'j' or use the Animations menu and choose the jumping panda! Put Leap Day in the subject line, and make sure to include your panda name. Make sure to mail them to Henry by 11:59pm Pandanda Time on Wednesday, February 29th.

Well, I guess that's it! Can't wait for next month's fun!

Last Day of Friendship Festival!

Hey Pandas! Today is the last day for the Friendship Festival. Hopefully you collected enough friendship bracelets to earn a prize from Lucy. If you didn't, this will be your last chance to. Hello to all my Panda Friends!

I hope you have enjoyed the Friendship Festival this year. You still have until just before midnight Pandanda Time today to collect bracelets and trade them to Lucy at the Fishing Hole for her cool prizes! When Lucy leaves she will take her prizes with her, so don't wait!

According to your votes on the Favorite Friendship Fest Prize, the Animated Heart Sunglasses are your favorite prize, followed by the Red Heart Chair and the Purple Heart Chair.

Mod Jozie really loves her purple heart chair, animated heart sunglasses, and bouquet of flowers. Looks like her pet dragons kind of like them, too!

Hmmm, I like all of the purple hues in Jozie's tree house. I wonder if her favorite color is purple, too!

PDSociety's Welcome Party Opening Bash!

Hey there pandas!

Ready for an AWESOME party? Let's welcome the stupendous Pandanda Partnership between PDFriendship, PDSquad, and PDManiac by throwing a Welcome Party Opening Bash! There will be 2 parties on the same day, on March 3rd. We will be giving out a 1 month PD Elite Membership, so please come! The 2 parties will be at 1:00pm Pandanda Time (PST, Pacific Standard Time) and 6:00pm Pandanda Time. Click on the links to see what time it will be for you.

We will play games such as MDMS [Monkey Do Monkey See] , it's just like the emotion game; one of the host from the PDSociety team does an emote OR says something and the first panda who says it, not from the PDSociety team, wins 2 points! Non-members would have to get 12 points and elite members would get 10 points so it's fair on getting a 1 month PD Elite Membership.

But that's not the only game, we will also play fashion show and the RUG GAME! Most of you probably don't know how to play the rug game. All you have to do is go to someone's tree, so say there's 10 people at the tree. We'll label the pillows by numbers you'll see why. The owner of the treehouse puts 9 pillows on a circle rug or any rug, 9 pillows because one person is going to open their backpacks and from there they'll count from 1 to 10, while the others walk around the pillows until the counter stops and you have to stop at a pillow. After they get to 10, they say a number by a chair(but they won't see because they're from their backpacks!) and the person who is sitting there loses and goes to the audience! The last person standing wins 2 points. We'll play the Rug Game

So, we'll meet at 1:00pm Pandanda Time(PST, Pacific Standard Time) and 6:00pm Pandanda Time at server Oak at Pawthorne Forest on March 3rd, 2012! We hope to see ya there, please come and spread the word!

You can earn coins by fishing, then selling your fish to Fishy Joe. You can also earn coins for every game you play. So you've got plenty of chances to increase your Pandanda bank account before Saturday!

Everyone who logs in on Saturday will have full access to all of Pandanda's Elite Membership features for one day!** You can use your Pandanda coins to buy anything at the Clothing Co. on East Market Street! We had a great Game Day on Saturday. I really got a kick out of playing Bunny Chase and Ghosts of Misty Hill with so many of you during my visits. Check out these pictures of the fun!

Dress in Mardi Gras colors of purple, green, yellow, and gold, and lead your friends in a Mardi Gras parade around Pandanda. Our Brazilian panda friends might know this day better as Carnaval. Whatever you call it, make Tuesday bright and exciting! Mod Jule is already dressed for Mardi Gras fun!

On Friday, the Super Questers who are at Level 50 and above will get their chance to party with me on Palm Server. The first party will be at 10am Pandanda Time and the second party will be at 6pm Pandanda Time. You can click on each of those links to see what time the parties will be where you live. Pandas who live in Australia, New Zealand, and other countries around that part of the world will probably want to come to the 6pm party, since it will be on Saturday morning and early afternoon.

Hey Pandas! Today is Game Day! Heres a post from Henry :

I hope you have your bunny nets and ghost-catching backpacks ready, because you are going to need them today! During Game Day you can earn double coins for Bunny Chase and Ghosts of Misty Hill, and for Pen the Pig and Line4, too!

If you find a Moderator hosting a special game of Bunny Chase or Ghosts of Misty Hill today, you have a chance to win 250 Panda Gold! You can look for Moderators (and me!) to be hosting as many games as we can fit in between the hours of 5am-8am Pandanda Time, 9am-12pm Pandanda Time, 2-3pm Pandanda Time, and 4-8pm Pandanda Time. Games can be on any server, and we will be jumping from server to server to give lots of pandas the chance to win! Remember, you can win ONE time from each Moderator.

I'll be in Pandanda from 5-7am Pandanda Time, then once more from 7-8pm Pandanda Time. You can click on each link to see what time it will be where you live.

Pandanda Friendship Festival 2012!

Hey Pandas!

The Friendship Festival has finally arrived in Pandanda again! So let's continue :) First, click the Friendship Bracelet on the top right hand corner (it's right below the map icon).

Once you clicked on the Friendship Bracelet Icon. The following message should appear on your screen:

You can check how many Friendship Bracelets you have collected by checking the Friendship Bracelet icon (which is the top right hand corner of your screen).

You can collect Friendship Bracelets anywhere in Pandanda, except your Treehouse or anyone's treehouse. Friendship Bracelets appear just like fruits, cans, bottles, Zing tickets, etc. The good news is that the Friendship Bracelets appear a lot quicker than Zing tickets :)

You have to collect at least 25 Friendship Bracelets before you can get a prize. Once you collected 25 pineapples, visit Lucy (she is located at the fishing hole) to get some spectacular prizes.

And now the moment you all been waiting for! This year's Pandanda Friendship Festival prizes are...

To get all the prizes you have to collect 425 Friendship Bracelets. You have until February 27th, 2012 (Monday) to keep on collecting Friendship Bracelets and trading them for prizes.

There are lots of the rooms in Pandanda that are decorated with cool stuff :D And some of the rooms have different music.

Personally, I think this year's Friendship Festival prizes are pretty awesome! My favorite is the animated heart-shaped glasses :) So which Friendship Festival prizes is your favorite?

The Year Of The Dragon!

Kung hei fat choi (which means "Congratulations and wishing you prosperity")! Today is Chinese/Lunar New Year, celebrating the beginning of the Year of the Dragon!

Let's celebrate Chinese New Year and the Year of the Dragon today by filling Pandanda with dragons! Take your pet dragon for a walk, fill the skies with dragon Companions, wear your dragon helmet, carry your dragon staff!

I will be taking my pet dragon Phoenix for a walk around 9:00am Pandanda Time today, and wishing everyone a Happy Chinese New Year. I hope I get a chance to see you!

Oh, don't forget to visit Zing Ballyhoo for his 3rd prize this week. I think he's trying to turn us all into snowmen! If you want to really be a snowman, visit Paige in Bear Hollow to buy a Frosty Potion. Yep, the Frosty Potions are available to everyone during March of the Snowmen, so this is your chance to stock up!

I think that this week's prize is pretty cute! :) However, last week's prize (the Pink Snow-globe Helmet) is now blue! Could it be a glitch? Or could it be permanent? I think pink is cute, but blue is cooler :)

Friday 13th O_O

Hey Pandas! It's the Friday 13th today, for me and many other pandas too! It's supposed to be a bad luck day, I think because of a movie but I'm not sure. So what Henry said is that there's is NOT going to be bad luck here on Pandanda!

Pink Snow Globe Helmet!

It looks really unique to me. We never had one of those in a long time on Pandanda! This theme's weeks might be something snowy, or just random without a special theme(:

I hope the first day of 2012 was a great one for you all! I really had fun visiting on Pandanda today. Hanging out with my friends was an awesome way to start the new year!

Make sure to get your New Year 2012 Party Hat from the catalog at the Clothing Co. on East Market Street. It is what all the stylish pandas are wearing this year!Have you gotten all of Chilly's prizes for the Winter Festival yet? You still have two days to collect Stocking Stuffers and trade them to Chilly at West Market Street for prizes. Don't wait until the last minute! Chilly will leave Pandanda sometime before midnight Pandanda time on Tuesday, January 3rd.
